There also exists a hybrid model that utilizes stable generic implants with a sales rep that consigns instrumentation and manages his inventory. The purpose of this study was to compare surgical supply costs for an outpatient surgery center utilizing a generic, wholesale implant model versus a hospital setting that utilizes a generic, sales rep model.
